Crohn's disease??? questions about humira??? - stomach and humira
I'm almost 14 years and I have Crohn's disease. I was diagnosed in April 2007 was with the basics, such as Asacol and Imuran, and prednisone (Blerg !!!!) to work but then stopped and I was soooo high prednisone Then I switched to Remicade. Remicade has wonders for them ... 7 months or so, but this year I had so bad joints couldnt go (still pain in the joints after Remicade but this time I couldnt offer to all), so I went on Humira. Then I heard it lymphoma Humira or Remicade can get.
2 questions
1) What are the side effects of Humira? so far I had to burn pain obiously the vaccine itself and for 15 minutes after, joint pain, stomach pain and some
2) there is a strongHE risk of HUMIRA vs. Remicade-Lymphoma? or Remicade increased risk? or is the risk to their lean not have to worry about?

Hello Hanna, I PT Crohn woman. for 28 years. dxed to 12 years. (Alt on the 40th), I can completely relate to their concerns and questions.
Are you a candidate for Entocort by chance? It is a steroid, but not as powerful as prednisone no side effects at all - no moon face, no mood swings, which enters the blood at all, go directly to the "inflammatory and disappears after a few hours., No eye problems, etc.
I was treated with Humira for 9 months. The side effects I had were the following:

My son, aged 13, was diagnosed last spring with Crohn's disease. He was taking 40 mg of Humira. every two weeks from 7/30/07. It takes multi-vitamins, calcium and iron. He uses a stool softener every night. That is all. You can eat everything and anything you want. The pain only city that has grown rapidly, not in growth after one year. It has the same pain of the vaccine, but improves with time. In terms of lymphoma, our understanding that the investigation has occurred rather than to 6 clock in the evening, the Humira. Our son is very happy with the results very satisfactory. K
